Fanorona (checkers’ like game from East Africa),
Set of 34 pawns of heterogeneous origins,
each pawn is to be considered as an art piece per se.
Game, art piece, magic divinatory artifact, the Divinatory Turtle is composed of assembled miscellaneous objects collected over the years with no particular intent. They decided to come together at some point for a mysterious reason. The Turtle is a magical device aimed at creating a connection between the player and his destiny. If you want to play the game you’re invited to come in person and sit in front of the turtle ; the Read will propose you a number of pawns and will ask you to place them on the Turtle’s back. Depending on how you place them, the objects will tell the story of your life. At the end of the game you will be offered to replace certain figurines. The Turtle is magic: moving elements on her back will automatically move things in the player’s own life. This game can be played only once in a lifetime.
